Parent Involvement - “Education Boosters”
The PTC has 9 Board members and 40 Committee Chairs. The budget for 2015-16 is $36,000. Not only does the PTC seek to engage parents as volunteers, but also to connect parents with what is going on in the schools. Monthly meetings feature the principal, superintendent, school board members, curriculum coordinators and teachers. We urge you to come to the table for these informational and candid conversations!

Topics of discussion may include:
• Curriculum overview and scheduling
• Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS)
• State Testing
• Character Education
• Stress management
• School budget

According to PTO Today, “researchers … have reported consistently that children with parents involved in their education and schools earn better grades [and] score higher on tests. Involved parents have better access to information about opportunities for students, allowing them to be stronger advocates for their children.”
